Summer Internships

The Old National Bank Summer Internship program is designed to apply classroom knowledge to meaningful work experiences in a professional financial services environment. Throughout the 10-week program, interns are integrated into an assigned line of business, working closely with team members on assigned projects.

Internship opportunities may include a focus in Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Community Banking, Wealth Management, Investments, Risk Management, Operations, Marketing, Accounting, HR, IT, or other lines of business.

    • Presentation of a team-based final project to peers and leaders.
    • Opportunities to build social network with executives, employees, and fellow interns.

    Recruiting Timeline

    • Recruiting typically occurs between September and October with interviews in November and December.
    • The Summer Internship Program runs mid-June through mid-August.
    • Open internship roles will be posted on our Careers Page.

LEAD Rotational Development Program

LEAD Rotational Development Program participants will be part of a 24-month development program that will cycle through various targeted functional rotations. The program is designed to help prepare and develop future organizational leaders through accelerated training and rotational assignments that will ensure participant exposure to multiple departments within the line of business through a cross-functional approach. 

Participants are introduced to the company’s products, services and processes that will foster the skills and knowledge needed in preparation for a successful career in their respective track, while simultaneously making valuable contributions to the organization. LEADs are assigned mentors and receive ongoing learning and development support. Potential placement after successful completion of the program could include a variety of professional roles.

    Commercial and Credit Career Track

    • Robust credit training and curriculum
    • A combination of structured and elective rotations to explore functional areas of interest within the commercial and credit functions
    • Candidate focus: Recent graduates with Finance, Accounting, or related degree
  • An associate conducting a meeting

    Operations Career Track

    • In depth training and certifications
    • Focus on process improvement and automation within the ONB Transformation Office
    • Rotations in Operations, Corporate/Community, and Commercial
    • Candidate focus: Recent graduates with Operations, Process Improvement or Design, or related degree
  • A new associate introducing herself to the team

    Recruiting Timeline

    • Recruiting typically occurs between September and October with interviews in November and December.
    • The LEAD Program starts in late July/early August.
    • Open LEAD Rotational Development roles will be posted on our Careers Page.
