President and Chief Operating Officer


Mark G. Sander is President and Chief Operating Officer of Old National Bancorp. Prior to the merger with Old National in 2022, he was President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of First Midwest Bancorp.

Prior to joining First Midwest in 2011, Mark served as Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial Banking at Associated Banc-Corp. He previously held several leadership positions at Bank of America and LaSalle Bank, a $110 billion asset subsidiary of ABN AMRO, N.V.

Mark is President of The Banker’s Club of Chicago and an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago. He is also an Executive Advisor for the Metropolitan Planning Council, on the President’s Leadership Council of Chicago Youth Centers, a Trustee of the Brookfield Zoo Chicago and on the Board of Regents for the Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.

Mark earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois.
