Direct Deposit Benefits You

The faster, easier, and safer way to get your paycheck or monthly benefits.

Set up Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit Makes Life Easier

If you receive regular payments, such as a paycheck or Social Security benefits, you can have the funds deposited directly into your account. This is known as Direct Deposit. Avoid the hassle of paper checks, and set it up today!

Set Up Direct Deposit in 3 Easy Steps!

  • A coworker showing his teammate who to sign up for direct deposit

Step 1: See if Direct Deposit Is Offered

Contact your employer or benefits administrator to see if they offer Direct Deposit. If they don’t, suggest that they start!

    Benefits of Direct Deposit

    • Easier – No keeping track of your check, no visits to the bank to get your money.
    • Faster – Your money arrives on time, every time.
    • Safer – Checks can get stolen or compromised by bad actors. Electronic deposits are more secure.
    • More Reliable – Never worry about lost mail or misplacing your check. Never wait for re-issued checks.

Step 2: Provide Your Account Details

You will need to provide your bank’s routing number, as well as the number for the account where you would like the payments deposited.

    • The Old National Bank Routing Number is 086300012.
    • Your account number can be found across the top of your bank statement. Or along the bottom of a check, to the right of the routing number. See it on a check.

    Direct Deposit Authorization Form
Occasionally employers require an authorization form. You can get it in two ways:

  • A man checking his banking account from his mobile device

Step 3: Confirm Arrival of Funds

Direct Deposit may take one or two payment cycles to begin. Verify funds by viewing your account activity. To do so, you can:

    • Log in to Online Banking
    • Log in to Mobile Banking1
    • Look at your next paper statement
    • Call 800-731-2265 and use Bankline to learn of recent deposits.

    Always Know What’s Going On
To get notifications every time a deposit posts to your account, set up an alert in Mobile Banking.

You can also enable spending alerts, put transaction limits on your card, or set up travel controls.
